If you are new to A Project 4 Freedom, or have not been keeping up. We where a first going to utilize the Joomla CMS system for the main Website. Well there have been some problems with this. The first being that the new version of Joomla 1.5.2 is not very stable, it has numerous bugs in the core files. Joomla is a PHP based system which means it rewrites files on the server continuously, so it must have the permissions set to allow this. For some reason with the Hosting that we have it is not working very well. Unfortunately during this whole process of building the website my Host trying help me fix the problems. Upgraded the PHP from  PHP4 to PHP5. This has just caused all kinds of havoc, so much so that it is not worth trying to fix.

We are trying to Pre-Launch on May 1st, and starting over is not what I had in mind. So we have found a new solution, that will not be Joomla. We are going to use a iGROOPs turnkey membership site. Personally I am not real found of these type of programs. I like the custom approach, but with the Deadline looming, and my options running out. I took a real hard look at iGROOPs system.  What I have found is something that actually amazed me, with iGROOPs we can actually offer more then the Joomla system. Most of the software that I was going to have to install separately is already pre installed. It has some features I had not even thought of, and some I wanted but could not have due to the Hosting restrictions.

The ability to have live Chat and Video Conferencing is going to be a great feature. The ability to send an Audio or Video Post card to market products is Way Cool! I can't what to play with this feature. There are allot more features that really play into the way I would like  A Project 4 Freedom be interactive are already in place. So this will actually work out in our favor. If like to check out what some of the other features are go to www.igroops.com

Let me now what you think, as seeing how we are basically back square one now would be a good time to mention an alternative. But I think this is the right solution for us.
