Multi-level Marketing Sucks...(I Guess...)Multi Level Marketing Sucks...(I guess...)
Written by Ken Bricker
Multi Level Marketing will always get a bad rap from certain people.
These people will never change their mind, so save your breath.
When you meet them and introduce your product, you will be met with
the good ole' standby:
Arguement through intimidation.
Having no basis to stand on, they will ridicule you personally in order
to prove that what you're doing will never work.
Great Proof, right?
This cynicism is based on a widespread misconception that Multi Level
Marketing or Network Marketing is a Pyramid Scheme.
Some people don't know, won't ever know nor will they ever want to learn
the night & day differences that set the two apart.
So let them go and move on to others who have the desire to learn
what these cynics don't know and don't know that they don't know!
Pyramid schemes will be discussed in other topics but the basic
bottom line is they offer no product or they offer inferior
or worthless products.(READ-NO Products)
They pay first comers from money they get from the next group
and so on until all collapses. Then they go Bye-Bye.
The one very important word that explains how network marketing
when properly used negates any notion of a Pyramid scheme is:
Commissions
What are commissions anyway? It's an inargueable fact
that network marketing is and has been a major force in sales for a
long time and so have commissions.
Consider if you owned a used car lot.
You have many people waiting right now to possibly buy.
Since you can only take care of one customer at a time,
you assign the others a number and ask them to wait.
You can even let them take their number home when you close
so they will keep their spot in line the next day!
Wow! that'll work out great, won't it?
Well, I have a better idea.
Get more sales people and pay them a predetermined and agreed
upon amount per sale that they close for you!
The car lot owner makes a higher percentage, because of inventory
and overhead and his salesmen make their commission by working hard,
building good reputations and taking good care of their customers.
Salesmen who don't do that are left by the wayside to find
another car lot to try.
Now, what about the lot owner who doesn't care what he sells?
He only cares that he sells a lot of cars at a high profit margin.
He doesn't care about his buyers, just the bottom line.
His good salesmen are going to run like hell and poor salesmen
with his same mindset will flock to him over and over until he's
out of business.
Also, look at how many people make "commissions" on every product you buy.
Though not called commissions, a stupid potato makes money for
the farmer, field worker, gas station, packager, trucker, grocery store,
all the way to stockers, clerks and baggers and the Government with
taxes on every step involved.
And if you, the buyer don't get a rotten potato, your'e happy and the
process starts all over again. And keeps going.
If your potato is rotten, the income gradually stops for a whole lot
of people and starts up again for other more consciencious and dedicated
people.
What do you know! Network Marketing
And its successes & failures!
This is the type of Network we're all in except we are primarily
making our sales online.
Know your product through research and trust your instincts.
Know your downline through personal contact. If they want help,
be there for them. All of them.
Remember It's not just a Job, It's an Adventure!
