Creating your own products is a very time consuming endeavor and requires determination and dedication. It also has many more benefits than selling affiliate and PLR products. Selling affiliate and PLR products can work out very well for people as long as they are one of the first to start selling the product. Once the product has been out there for a while, it becomes obsolete.

The only way to beat the competition in this arena is to get in before they do, and go hard and fast before that product is obsolete too. Witty and original marketing will only take a marketer so far because if you already have a microwave, are you going to go out and buy the same exact one again just because someone makes it look new and exciting? Probably not!

Well it’s the same with niche products. This is why manufacturers are constantly coming out with new models for their products. It’s the only way to get continuing sales. In internet marketing you have a choice. You can either constantly be on the lookout for new products to sell, which can be a lot more work than it’s worth. Or you can create your own products and never have to worry about competing with someone else who may be selling the same exact product.

This is just one way in which creating your own product can benefit you. Another benefit is that you have more freedom in how the product is sold and how much to charge for it. There are many affiliate and PLR products that are either under priced or way overpriced. Even with PLR products that allow you to set your own price, you run into situations where people set their prices so low that it completely devalues the product.

If the pricing problems don’t ruin your chances at selling the product, you still have to deal with bad sales copy. With some of the products, you have the choice of using the sales copy provided or you can write your own, but with most it seems that you are stuck using what has been provided. Even if it is still good sales copy, the lack of originality when competing with others selling the same product can potentially hurt your sales.

If you sell your own products, you never run into any of these problems. You can sell your product for whatever you feel it is worth… and you can write the sales copy (or hire someone to do it for you) any way you want. You can make it as personal or as business-like as you want. And you never have to worry about answering to anyone because you didn’t follow their rules.

Creating your own product will also give you a sense of pride and fulfillment. After all the time and effort you put into creating it, you get the best feeling when it’s finally completed and you are making sales from something you have done. It’s an addictive feeling and once you create your first product, you’ll be anxious to start working on the next.

Another great benefit to creating your own products is that you get to keep all the profits! With affiliate programs, you only get a percentage of the money for the products you sell. Yes, you can get 100% commissions with PLR products too, but you still run into the problem of trying to outsell your competition and being stuck with an obsolete product. With your own product, not only do you get 100% commissions, but also the added advantage of being the only one selling that product… so in that sense you are truly getting all the commissions!

The best part is that you have the option of setting up your own affiliate programs and JV Partnerships, which is highly recommended. Imagine not only having your own original product to sell, but having an army of people out there helping you to sell it! As an affiliate, you are depending solely on your own sales for an income, but when you create your own product, you don’t have to be the only one selling. You can get others to do it too!

Sure, you’re going to have to pay them commissions, but when you think of all the additional sales that you may not have gotten otherwise… it adds to your income instead of detracting from it. Hundreds of personal sales can turn into Thousands… Thousands of personal sales can turn into Tens and Hundreds of Thousands, and so on!

With all of these benefits, it’s easy to see why creating your own products is the best way to go if you want to succeed as an Internet Marketer.
